the class war is not some hypothetical future event. class war is being waged right now, by the ruling class, against you, every single day of your life. the question is what you’re going to do to fight back.
I’d like to point out that this is the same guy who told millennials to stop eating avocado toast 6 years ago
fight the class war or become it’s victim
I was thinking about why he would say all that at a property summit. that’s real estate. this is not about that. why does he want to punish workers until they worship him? why does a real estate investor want a 40% unemployment rate?
it’s so you and your neighbors lose your homes or have to sell them for money to live. then he can buy them all for cheap, raise the rent, and sell them to other landlords. or use the land to build more big ass parking lots with chain stores that pay minimum wage
And on that note remember how people lost their businesses and houses when COVID first hit?
Yeah who do you think bought those up? Another mom and pop?
I just saw a TikTok where someone who owns an HVAC business is losing business. Corporations bought the competition. They said that they have $5k to invest for marketing to improve business. But that is laughable. They were told that their $5k investment would be worthless when the competition can spend $50k.
Private equity is moving into the home services market. On top of buying all the houses.
And yeah it’s a big fucking deal and actually something that every single American should be worried about. People have been desperately trying to get the government to regulate these markets.
People in real estate are about to suck us fucking dry. Buy up houses and make them unaffordable, rent them for ridiculous prices, and ALSO charge us ridiculous prices for the services that homes need.
THATS why he’s talking about making sure workers are primed to be exploited this way.
It’s vital for that man and his lifestyle that we are Not able to compete in that market and cause him to lose Any of the profit he stands to gain. It’s VITAL that you don’t earn enough to make housing affordable.
I had to find this post. I read this in 2017 and it had a profound effect on me. I couldn’t stop saying it. It was echolalia. And now to this day, for seven years, I can still quote it perfectly Word for Word and often do when I do something stupid. This is the perfect post in my opinion
